On a miserable wet day around 400 workers marched through Dublin in the annual Mayday march organised by the Dublin Council of Trade Unions. April 30, 2010 Today’s demonstration began with speeches in honor of International Workers’ Day by the Union of Palestine Workers, after which the crowd processed to the Wall. After several minutes, soldiers fired the first rounds of tear gas into the crowd, and continued to launch tear gas deep into the protestors’ route. wall, was banned by Israel’s military from crossing the West Bank
borders into Jordan on Saturday. Burnat is head of the local committee
against the wall and settlement in the central West Bank village of
Bil’in. The villagers of Bil’in have been organizing weekly anti wall

The two individuals whose deaths have been confirmed are Beatríz Alberta Cariño, the director of CACTUS and member of the Southeast Mexican Indigenous Community Radios Network, and Jyri Jaakkola, an international solidarity observer from Finland.

Beit Jala : One of the fronts of the popular struggle in the West Bank is now Beit Jala, Bethlehem district. The whole of the Bethlehem district has been surrounded by the Apartheid-Annexation Wall and ever-expanding settlements for years. Now, Beit Jala is being hit even harder by the apartheid policies of the Israeli army and government via the new path of the Apartheid Wall in the area. On the morning of Tuesday, April 22nd 2010, Israeli bulldozers reached the home of Beit Jala resident Mitri Ghneim and started to level and damage the garden of his house. It's being reported by the he Garda Ombudsman that a man has been found dead in a garda cell in Dublin.

The man was arrested for a public order offence on Tuesday evening and held at Tallaght Garda Station where he was found dead at 9.30 last night.
