3G is a Chinese security company which is EU supported.

134 residents of Gleann Trasna, Lettermore, Co Galway objected to the Chinese company, Hutchinson 3G, 3G Ireland/BT 3G Ireland project/Glenline Telecoms from placing a 20 metre Monopole Aerial with 3 panel antennae within 200 metres of dwellling houses in Gleann Trasna and halted Galway Council Planning Dept. from proceeding with planning permission.

Hutchinson 3G, BT 3G Ireland Project/Glenline Telecoms antagonised the residents of Gleann Trasna in September 2009 by fully intending to locate an electro-magnetic radiating aerial within 150m, 250m and 400 metres respectively of dwelling houses thereby endangering these residents by cancer causuing electro-magnetic radiation in contravention of the 2007 BioInitiative Report in which every EU country must apply statutory limits to limit EMR exposure to human health.

The French Green Party obtained a ruling againnst Buoyeges Telecom confirming antennae should be located at least 800 metres from dwelling houses.

At present Ballinakill, Lettermore, Co Galway community is against the siting of a 3G antenna at a site within 400 metres of harmful EMR.
One person wants to lease land to 3G and everyone is against tis antenna.

Both Minister Gormely and Minister Ryan received letters on this matter within the last year with a brief reply promising a full reply.
