A new Nature paper claims to pin liability for 'climate damages' on oil companies so they can be sued in court. This escalation in the climate wars is scientifically bogus and economically disastrous, says Dr Tilak Doshi.

Foreign Secretary David Lammy has said it is "unacceptable" that Palestinians don't yet have a state. Professor James Alexander wonders if Lammy has thought through what a Palestinian state would actually look like.

The sugar tax sums up Britain's descent into a technocratic dystopia, says Dr David McGrogan. While our Government does almost nothing well, it remains a world-leader in passive-aggressive, surreptitious nudging.

Unprecedent Missile Attack by Iran on Israel in responnse to Assassination of Hasan Nasrallah

category international | anti-war / imperialism | news report author Tuesday October 01, 2024 21:58author by indy Report this post to the editors

Tonight Iran has launched over 100 missiles at Israel attacking military and intelligence targets. It is in response to the assassination by Israel of Hasan Nasrallah using American bunker buster bombs in Beirut over many civilians were also killed.

There are reports still unformed that Iran managed to destroy up to 20 US made F-35 fighters jets It is estimated up to 200 missiles were fired. The US had given warnings of an attack in the next 12 hours but it happened within minutes of their warning and it seems Israel was caught off guard.

Whilst the mainstream media is reporting this as civilian attack, it is in fact an attack on military targets in response to the dead of Nasrallah. It appears Nasrallah had been offered a deal to break off his attacks on Israel but he refused since because their stated goal is that these attacks on Northern Israel will stop when the year long genocide in Gaza ceases. And for this reason he was killed with quite a large amount of help from the US regime. This genocide is the first to be televised and whilst the West has stood by and don't nothing to stop it, the Axis of Resistance are the only people who have tried to oppose it.

In the meantime in response, Israeli has attacked a refugee camp in Gaza

During the press conference Israel said they would respond to the attack. Indications were this would be immediate. They also released a statement saying they would attack Iran's nuclear and oil facilities

In recent days, President Pezeshkian of Iran came under strong criticism for appeasing to the West after his recent UN visit to New York. One has to wonder is this attack meant as a rebuff to this and shore up his reputation

Here is a press release from Press TV on that
